Car dock

I was just on the Moto page looking at the car dock for the Moto X and noticed that the ends are solid. How do you plug in a charger or aux cable? Anyone here have one and can shed some light?

Sometimes the connector is in the sides or back. I've had some like that. They run wires to the phone port through the dock. Although there may not be a charger at all for all I know.
