Car media

When I plug in my LG g2 into the USB port in my car it does not recognize my phone as a media source. Please help.

Normally in stock android you have to turn on the USB storage feature.
Maybe you'll have to check for the similar option in the LG UI

Settings > General tab > PC Connection > Select connection method
I believe allows you to read files through usb to car. I honestly do not know however because I stream Google Music through Bluetooth or AUX.
