Thanks for all the suggestions y'all! I went with the ProClip and so far I LOVE it! I accidently ordered the one that goes on the passenger side, called the angled, i think. I am reordering the mount for my side...I think it's called the straight mount.

whatever it's called, I really like the fact they are designed specifically for the particular car you're using it on.

Very nice

Thanks bud. I like this one because it uses fancy schmancy electric arms instead of spring loaded. With the curved screen and how hard some spring loaded ones close, I was worried about cracking the screen. The adapter was pricey, but it sounds really good.

Electronic arms are not needed. Wireless high-speed charging magnetic mount:

AND it works flawlessly with the Pitaka case which has the metal built right into it for the mounting magnets (I don't know how they did this, but they did because the case is already very thin AND it contains metal to adhere to any magnetic mount as needed:

I spoke with both manufacturers before trying this. Neither of them would guarantee the combination would work - but I have it and it works flawlessly. I will post more photos later to show my setup.

Vava phone mount with Syncwire magnetic ring. Nice to just mount it to my Wrangler and pull it off without "strapping" it in in any way.

That's not a fast wireless charging mount though correct?

My only issue with these wireless adapters is that they make using AA impossible. In my vehicle I can fall back on built-in navigation but I prefer Google or Waze.

It is if you use a 3.0 car adapter and proper cable.

Edit:. Sorry I thought he was using the Pitaka charger.

Actually, it is the Scosche MagicMount - they have partnered with Proclip so you can buy the whole thing including the car bracket from proclip - and it is fast wireless charging as well. (The Pitaka magnetic mount charging capability - is total crap BTW!) However, the Proclip/Scoche solution only offers a cigarette lighter power supply cable which oddly enough plugs into the back of the magnetic mount using an (old fashioned) micro usb connector. (How come nobody seems to do anything in a decent way from one end to the other any more?) So, I used the usb-c connector on my old (Note 8) phone mount, which was still hard wired to the car, and unscrewed a couple screws which released the old mount from that end of the cable. This hard wired power supply from proclip for my note 8 mount, I checked - has the SAME output as the cigarette lighter adapter that came with the magicmount, so I just used one of those cheap micro-usb to usb-c adapters to plug the scoche into the old cable already hard-wired in the car - and voila! Works like a charm. The magnets in this thing are STRONG so no chance of the phone coming loose. I'll post some photos when I get a chance.

Please look at my other reply, hope that helps. What is AA? In any event, I use Google Maps all the time -
