Car Mount?

Lots of room in the rear of the proclip holder, and I believe any hump for the battery does not extend to the edges so it would not interfere with the phone sliding into the rails. The tilt swivel allows for easy rotation, portrait or landscape.

Does it swivel? And if not, are the 4 screws a perfect square where you could rotate it 90 degrees for landscape mode?

Here your answer! ;)

I think I mentioned I didn't care to rotate to landscape so I removed the tilt swivel for a lower profile look. Then you're fixed to one orientation or the other. With the tilt swivel you're good to go in either orientation.

I currently use a 'beanbag' mount for my Garmin GPS. If you use a windshield or vent mount, that's an invitation for thieves unless you take it down when you leave the car. It takes about 5 seconds to toss a beanbag mount in the glove compartment.

For the Epic, I'm thinking about this one:
Amazon.com: Arkon Weighted Friction Dash Mount for Universal Phone, Smartphone and PDA (Black): Cell Phones & Service

You can also use a beanbag platform that works in conjunction with a windshield mount:
Amazon.com: Bracketron UFM-100BL Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad: Electronics
I used to use a Touchstone for my Pre in my Escape Hybrid. Not many crooks would know what that was - lol. Sadly, now I am looking for something as convenient for Epic...
