Car mounts?

Anyone bought a car mount yet? Or if you had a Flip 3, one you'd recommend? I've got a 4 on pre-order and would like to be able to mount my phone horizontally in the car - mostly because I'm used to running Waze in landscape mode I guess. But it seems like most car mounts squeeze the phone from the sides which - if you have it mounted horizontally - would be the top and bottom and it doesn't seem like putting that kind of pressure on the hinge is a good idea.

Most mounts I have used do squeeze from the sides. You rotate the mount 90° if you want the phone in landscape. So it still squeezes the sides. I'm not a Flip owner, but I would think any of these style mounts would be fine.

I hate to say it but I think I'm going to purchase a magsafe compatible case because the flip is perfect for a magsafe mount with wireless charger. That way I don't have to worry about the clamps grabbing the sides of the device.

I hadn't considered rotating the whole mount. That actually makes a lot more sense than what I was describing.
