What car mods is everyone using with their V20?

I went with this for my 2010 traverse20161106_163446.jpg

thanks for making this post because I'm thinking about getting one, just don't know which one yet. :)

I know... I'm still looking. I don't want a window mount because the traverse window of really slanted and a mount blocks a lot.

Not a fan of the vent ones because it blocks the vents and not sure about hot air blowing on the phone all winter.

So I went with the cup mount one.... for now anyway

Check out Arkon brand smartphone/tablet mounts on Amazon. They have a wide variety of dash/window/cup holder etc mounts. Good prices, and some parts are interchangeable from mount to mount.

I have a CD player mount I used for my last phone. Works great for this one too. The cup mount was to low to use for navigation in our minivan. Yes I'm that Dad....

I'm thinking about getting a RAM mount. Expensive, but highly secure and modular design.

I don't know, I wonder where I would buy a CD to try it.... Lol

Lol...I have no choice. We just got a used 2010 traverse for winter. I had high hopes since it had onstar, but as my luck would have it... No Bluetooth

I ave been using ProClip since my Galaxy S4. They had a custom base designed specifically for my car model. I also had a custom holder for the S4. When I switched to a Note4 I ended up getting the universal holder. It has worked fine for my Note7 and now with my V20. The bad part is that it's pretty expensive. With a custom holder and base it was over $100. The large part of that was the custom holder. A less expensive way to go would be to get a custom mounting base for $30 and mount a cheaper holder that you can find somewhere else. For $30 the base was well worth it for me.

Are the magnet mounts really strong over bumps etc?

I have been using the Magic mount for a couple of years also, and never have had any issues. I even have the metal plate installed on the inside of my Otterbox Cases, under the hard shell of my Note 2 commuter and soft layer on the Defender on my V20. Never had it come off over bumps or acceleration, I love the ease of just sticking it on no arms or claws to deal with.
