Car Panel Landscape Mode?

when i press the Car Panel button and physically flip the phone into landscape mode, why does it not change to landscape orientation? if i'm mounting the phone landscape mode, it doesn't make any sense for the phone to remain in vertical orientation. also, i could have sworn i've seen pics of the car panel main screen in landscape orientation. what gives?

I noticed that to and not sure why but maybe when the car dock the magnets will change the orientation of the screen or this will be fixed in an update. Only time will tell

I prefer portrait. During navigation I would rather see more of whats ahead of me than what is way to the left or right of me. But that's just me.

I've also noticed the desk clock app doesn't do landscape either but I swear I saw pictures of the desktop charger dock being oriented so the phone sits in landscape

There are no magents in the Incredible and Car Panel only works in portrait. I was kind of bummed about it at first, but with the help of others I realized that it's actually a good thing: most of the menus, the homescreens, call screens, contacts screens, etc. only work in portrait, so whenever you're using those you'd have to rotate or read sideways.

The alarm clock does rotate into lansdscape, which I assume is what you saw in the picture of the dock.

Ahh I see - it only runs just the tiny clock in it's 'screen saver' mode - not a full clock/weather thingy like the Nexus One does when docked...

well it's better than nothing I suppose!
