Car Use

So last week I made the switch from a Bionic to the SIII....to my amazing relief!

However, one area that the SIII lacks is in the car accesory dept. I'm looking for a good car dock or at least a way to keep the screen on all the time while in the car. This is on major drawback for an otherwise terrific device.

Look for threads about the iBolt. It's a great dock!

I've been using the Infuse car dock since I got the phone, works great without a case.

Further to iBolt; it does not answer your need to keep the screen on nor does it allow you to utilize the Aux feature to make calls.
It will charge and send music through the Aux but requires you to manually plug in each time.

I also had the Bionic and dock, the iBolt is similar in look but misses the mark in function.

From what I have read, you can use the iBolt to trigger car mode, if you have an app like Car Home Ultra, you can have it be the default car mode, and keep the screen on. In fact, with Car Home Ultra, you can just set it up that when you open the app (manually if you want), it will trigger car mode, until you specifically exit car mode.
