carrier models differance

As I am getting ready to let go of my s5 I was considering an s7. I am currently with page plus, however I am considering moving to metro. I noticed the verizon model is cheapest on swappa. My question is are they all essentially the same phone or will carrier specific models have better coverage on that network? I hate to go with a verizon model and find a t-mobile model would have been a better purchase. I always thought these phone were free to jump to carriers however I noticed some have different physical hardware, at least from what I have read that makes them perform better on their intended network. Would like to know if this is true and what I should consider

No carrier model here Unlocked S7 on Cricket, 100% happy with my choice, don't miss the big carriers at all
