carriers in spain?

Just wondering what kind of cell service is offered in spain. My wife and i will be stationed in Rota in a few months. As of now we will be relying on WiFi and cross platform messaging for the most part. But eventually we will want to pick up a few sim cards. After a few google searches i could only find a little info on Movistar..are the worth looking into?

I don't know about Spain, but make certain that your phones are SIM-unlocked before you leave. (Try using a friend's SIM card from another carrier. If it doesn't ask for an unlock code, and it connects to the network [your friend's network], you're good. Otherwise, talk to your carrier about an unlock code.)

Not going to Rota to run the NCIS office, are you?

The only phone ill be unlocking is the wifes iphone. I will be upgrading by then...witch will be unlocked.

NCIS..would be pretty sweet. But no unfortunately.
