Case-Mate Barely There case?

This case looks too thin to me. I have a couple off the Innocase II's (original and the newer rubberized one) and while I like them they feel a bit loose.

I got the HTC gel skin and while it increases weight and bulk I don't really mind. But then I am a very big guy and the evo is tiny in my hand.

I have the Seidio Innocase, but Im tempted to go ahead and order one of these to see what its about

Yeah the pics look good. It looks like a good fit. I have the HTC two piece case (similar to the Innocase) and it's just a little too big for me. I'm very picky. I want a thin case that protects the camera and screen when the phone is set down, all of the corners (eliminates barely-there), and looks good (subjective I know). The only problem I have with the HTC case is it's thick.

this case looks like it protects the camera pretty well, but the screen gets no protection as there is no lip at all

It doesn't look like it really offers any protection. Seems to be for looks mostly. I bought one off Ebay of $3 and it looks exaclty like this one and it was made of really thin plastic that would not protect the phone from anything more than putting it in your pocket or purse. You drop this baby and it's history.

I received mine on Saturday and love it. It's definitely not the case for you if you are looking for something similar to an Otterbox product, but if you want a very lightweight product that will keep the camera and corners of the phone protected, this is the case for you.

The name is fitting, as you barely know it's on, but now I don't have to hold my breath when setting my phone down on a hard surface.

Nice. Can you confirm whether or not the screen sits above the surface when you lay it face-down on the screen? From the photos it looks like there's no lip and it would just be resting on the screen itself..

Yeah, the sides of the case do sit right at, if not right below the face of the case, offering no protection to the glass. This doesn't bother me so much as I want a minimalist case, and I never set my phone down on it's face anyway. There aren't a lot of objects that my phone would encounter that could easily scratch glass.

I usually prefer my phones without any type of case at all, but with the camera designed the way it is I feel I need a little something back there. The case does help a bit with grip as well.

dooksuks, any chance when you get time you could post some pics or even a video of the case on your EVO. So we can get a better feel for it over what the Case-Mate site offers in their limited pics??

What about the kickstand? The other guy @ AndroidForums said it was really hard to take the kickstand out with this case on.

Seems like a weird criticism to me seeing that this case is thinner than the Siedio Innocase II, and I had no problem getting the kickstand out with that case. Obviously it will be different for each person depending on their finger size...but for me a case would have to be pretty darn thick to not allow me to get a fingernail in there to pop it out.

Also this is another good reason I would love to see a video review of this case.

I would love to post pics, but for the time being, my phone is my camera.

Nate is right, the kickstand is a little harder to get out. It has nothing to do with the thickness of the case, but the width of the cutout. The Innocase II has a wider cutout which makes it easier to get fingers in to. That being said, I have little trouble getting the kickstand out.

I'd be curious to see pics, too. I just ordered a couple of different cases. I'm not sure which one I'm gonna use permanently but I'll post what I think of all of them when they do come in and I've used them. I'll try to keep this post updated...but you know how quick it can fall down on the list of pages. lol

I went ahead and ordered one of these case-mate cases today, and was surprised to get a shipping confirmation and tracking number less than an hour after ordering. Not bad service at all. I will post my review as well once I receive it.

Mine came on Saturday. Very nice and very low profile. It won't protect from a fall but it will keep the scratches off and protect the camera.

I noticed on Case-Mate's web site that they're finally showing one of their new HTC EVO 4G cases in stock:

Case-Mate HTC EVO 4G Barely There Cases (Case-Mate HTCEVO-BT), HTC EVO Cases, Covers, Skins by Case-mate

Has anyone tried this yet? I couldn't find any reviews. I think this is fairly new since it was listed as "Coming soon" last week.
