So how's does that work? Wouldn't a case and screen protector, such as a Poetic or similar case, cover up the curved portion of the screen?
Depends on how badly designed the case is. Well-fitting cases 'end' where the glass begins, so you retain the curve. Screen protectors, unless bundled with the case or marked as 'case friendly' usually cover most of the glass, but that means they can get snagged when installing a case on the very edges.

Ooohhh...nice! I haven't seen that one in person yet. In pics I really love it in some lighting. I really like the press images of the Sky Blue too, but I was too impatient to wait. Also thought it'd be too similar to my blue iPhone 13 Pro.Purple... I mean, Burgundyhaha (I honestly hoped it'd be more reddish, but oh well). Next time (unless they come out with a true red and not the orange they try to pass off as red or a cool blue like the Note 7) I'll go with green I guess.
