Case With Portrait Kickstand

I don't know why they don't make more cases with vertical kickstands. It is my preferred way of viewing the phone. Has anyone purchased a such a case they would recommend?

I embarked on a search for a good case with a kickstand which would stand the phone upright. There are not many to choose from but I found this one which I really like. A solid case with a sturdy stand which is not too bulky and feels really good in the hand. If you are looking for this type of case, I would highly recommend this one.

LOL... finally found someone with this habit. I almost never use phone in landscape mode, very little movie watching. Everywhere i go i need to find something to put at the bottom to be able to read at portrait mode, but not as straight degree as the link you gave. I don't play game, only use the phone to read fairy tales, so portrait standing mode is utmost important. For tablet, i can read the fairy tales with 360 degrees case, but this type of case is not practical with phone.

I have 2 that I got on Amazon, a Youmaker and an Ecased Thin Fit.

They both have pros and cons, since I got them with the holster to wear at work, I am in commercial construction and don't like sticking my phone in my pocket, or laying around. The Youmaker wobbles a little in Portrait mode, but is sturdy when you loop your finger through it. It also lets dust and dirt to get in between the phone and case. The major reason I stopped using it is it isn't very friendly when I use wireless charging. It pushes the phone too high to stand it up with the Seneo and Sammy charger. I can lay it flat on the Samsung, but it has to be perfect or the charge stops. Also the holster is weak the way it clips into storage position.

The Encased is awesome, survived a fall off a table in it, but it is a bare minimum, and for some reason while in the holster the SPen can be pushed and start to fall out. Also the holster is a slide in model, and the phone can start to slide out on its own, but the portrait mode is awesome, no wobble or falling over. And wireless charging isn't affected at all. What isn't conducive to construction is the buttons are exposed, not covered over with the case, allowing dust and dirt to get in.

I just got mine and so far I like it, the wireless charger works in portrait mode, which is very important to me. Hopefully it fits in my holster.

Is there a VZW case w kickstand for Note 8? It usually allows portrait view on other phones.

I got it too and I love it! I really missed having the option of having both portrait and landscape kickstand, the case looks good and more protective than the samsung rugged one and even though it's a little bulky the back is slimmer than the samsung one

Thanks. Very kind of you! A little less vertical than vzw cases I've owned but not bad at all. I was hoping to get 50% off a Note 8 today by switching to their newest unlimited plan like sales rep told me at corporate store but when I checked online it is only 35% off so the case suddenly became less of a priority unfortunately.

Perfect if sitting at desk looking down at it. I prefer more upright since my "desk" is a stand at eye level nextto my recliner but it is the best I've seen yet.

I only like to keep for a year so unless I find a better deal on cyber Monday (which is unlikely) no Note in my immediate future.
