Case - Workout Armband for EVO

Just got an e-mail from Tune Belt today about their new case for the EVO/Droid X (also fits iPhone 4 with bumper if that's your thing) and bought it about 30 seconds later. I had their arm band with my Pre and loved it. Here's a link if you are interested: Amazon.com: Tune Belt Sport Armband for HTC EVO 4G, Droid Incredible and more (fits larger smartphones and iPhones in protective cases like iPhone 4 in Bumper case): Electronics

FYI, the guy told me they are pretty short on supply right now until a bigger shipment comes in.

Also, I have to say their customer support is pretty damn good. I e-mailed them about a month ago asking if they were planning to make a new arm band case for the EVO and the new larger smartphones. They e-mailed me about 2 hours later saying they were in the process of developing a new case and that he would keep me posted. Lo and behold, the same guy e-mailed me today with the amazon link. Not bad in my book.

There is no part number and it is not online yet. Email SPIbelt (Kevin) and tell him you want the 'new larger waterproof' version. You can also mention me...."Jason in Kansas' He will know what you mean. I love this thing for running.

Kitarkus could you PM me the email address for Kevin?

I decided to try a "belt" style holder for my Evo last week, so I went to my local running shop and bought one called the "Nathan" running belt. Same idea as the SPI belt. It was a snug fit to get the EVO in there, but it does fit.

I took it out a few days ago for a run to give it a test drive. My conclusion: I hate it. There's nothing wrong with this specific belt (not cheaply made or anything), but I've learned after trying it that I don't think any belt-style carrier is going to work for me. I occasionally like to use my Evo while running - either to change songs, maybe fiddle with my running app (RunKeeper), etc - and it's just far too cumbersome to try and get the thing out of my belt while running.

So for me I think I either need to find a good armband, or just carry my Evo in my hand while running. It needs to be easily accessible or I'm not going to like it. Just my 2 cents.

Just wondering, on these arm bands that appear to cover the top of the EVO, how are you suppose to plug headphones in?

Also, found this with a quick Google search and didn't see a link for it from any one else, so it may be a new product.

The top looks open enough to still get to the headphone jack, which is more that I can say for some of these other armbands. Has anyone tried this one yet? Would like a real person's review before buying.

I have the one you quoted above. It's ok but I don't like that the actual band doesn't have any elasticity. It has velcro to secure it tight but after a while it'll slip down my arm.

On the other hand I have one from iarmband - ipod arm bands that has some elasticity in the band and stays put. I see they now sell some specifically for the EVO which is probably pretty nice. Mine was purchased before they had these and it was a generic band for a large phone. A bit snug. It does have openings at the top for headphone plugs. It's a tad off due to it being made for a "large phone" but it works.

Hope that helps.

I just ordered the Evo specific one from the iarmband - ipod arm bands site that was mentioned I will let you know the verdict after I get it and try it out in the gym.

I just received the Iarmband and it sucks!!! The headphones do not align up with the headphone holes and it is too tight for my 17 inch arm and the site said it fits up to 20 inch arms. Why is it so difficult to find a good armband for the EVO! I am getting very frustrated...the phone is popular enough now,

Do not purchase from talisman group llc

I purchased the evo armband from Talisman LLC. In less than a month the armband ripped, and the velcro stopped working. I emailed and called them several times, they NEVER responded. I even left threatening messages to expose them, no response.
