So now that the Rezound is out what cases are out for it. I know that Seidio is not currently making any and niether is Incipio. I picked up the red gel case at the store for now. Im thinking of getting one of the TPU cases here, HTCpeida.

I also have contacted SGP on screen protectors but have not heard back from them.

Curious, does it really need a case, other than for the aesthetics?

Mine yes. Need the protection. If some strange mishap will occur it will occur to mine. :p Dogs tail fling across room, son hits hand flies across room. UPS man drop delievery on phone.

So, even a hard case is going to save the phone from any and all of the above?

I put an e-mail into Seidio customer service to see if they were bringing accessories to the market any time soon for the Rezound. Haven't heard back yet. I'll let you guys know when I do.

This is one of those "fragmentation" negatives. So many android phones that it makes it difficult for case manufacturers to accurately predict sales and possible customer bases for their products. The iPhone makes it very "easy" on third-party accessory manufacturers.

Not complaining in any way, just sayin'

I hope Seidio makes a case for this phone, I've had one on all of my previous phones and they're great.

I heard back from Seidio, they stated the following:

Thank you for contacting Seidioonline.com. We have not finalized plans to make cases for the HTC Rezound. Your request has been forwarded to product development. If you would like to stay informed on future product releases for this device, we suggest periodically checking our online store.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at 832-204-1118.

So lets get some more emails into them!

So far so good. I usually use Seidio hard case or an active case. "Normal" drops and falls. The only thing that it didn't protect it from was the lawn mower. Mulched it. Shrub tore my pocket and I didn't realize it fell out.

I just cursed myself now that I said that.:p

I got the same response from Seidio. I really want that desktop dock that works with their cases too. They make really high quality products. I can't imagine that they don't have the Rezound in the plans. It wouldn't make any sense.

Don't fret. :D But what's an "active case?" I have a rubbery silicone one on my BB, but, really, it's just to deal with its slipperiness. The back of Rezound don't feel slippery at all. Oh, and I do have a horizontal fake leather case with a clip.

The Active line is made by Seidio. It's a thin silicone layer with a hard shell that snaps on. Minimal bulk, maximum protection. My favorite case line.

Rabble rabble rabble.

I'm not getting it. Do you, guys, use a hard outer shell and then carry your phone in the pocket?

Commuter? I had a Commuter on my iPhone and it was fine. The Defender is massive, but I didn't think the Commuter was too bad.

I have the defender and its pretty big. I don't mind that like I said but if that bothers you then the commuter is perfect for you.

While I love Otter Box cases and would always recommends them, the Seidio Surface case line is where it's at for me. Adds only a millimeter of thickness, has a soft touch finish and does a nice job for fall protection. Even the Commuter can get a little on the bulky side. However, if Seidio doesn't release any cases I might be forced to get one.

I purchased an otterbox defender for mine. I work construction so its a must have for me. design and quality are top notch and I'm coming from an iPhone with a defender case. Otterbox has definitely stepped up their build quality from earlier defender cases. if you want a case to make you phone as indestructible as possible then pick this one up.
