My Huawei Watch has broken and I've had it since launch.
The vendor has offered me a choice of either a full refund for the original price I paid, or a straight (brand new) replacement.

I love it, but I can go a few months without it to be honest. Would you take the cash back and buy a Huawei Watch 2 assuming one comes out in a few months, or take the direct replacement (which won't sell for as much later).

Please let me know what you think and why.

A new Huawei watch might only have incremental advances rather than anything completely innovative and "must-have", as it is already well featured. I only use my Huawei at work (so, 5 days a week) and there I would find it indispensable; but that's my usage - as a "tool watch". Personally, then, in my case I'd grab the brand new replacement offered. I figure I will get maybe 3 years out of it, tops, before the battery is getting sad or I accidentally smash it at work. By then I expect some big advances in Android Wear devices, such as battery life for example.

Hope you cashed out. Could have bought it back on Amazon today for a fraction of the cost!
