Cast From Google Home to Shield

Like the title says - can you cast to it? If I tell my Google Home to cast to the Shield, will it? Or do I HAVE to have a Chromecast for that?

Yes, it will work. Example, "hey google, play What about Bob on Netflix on my Shield".

Awesome! My Nexus Player just crapped out on me. I can’t get any remote to pair to it. And I couldn’t cast to it from a Home anyway.

You probably will have to go into the home app and pair the shield to that Network.
