Go to android market, in the search box type zoner antivirus. Its free, and it works excellent. It also works against spyware. I use this one. There is even another app under it in the market by zoner that let's u test it for free

Not sure why folks are falling for this. Lookout is all that is needed. Every thing else just is a waste a prays on every ones fear if a virus or other crap.

Falling for what? Lookout is garbage..I've already proven that to some people that I know. But everyone has their preference.

Exactly stated. For "Peace of Mind"

I love it when "after" the app is installed, you get a message "application clean".
It's already installed!!!:D :D Too late Homer, Dhuuup!

But if you want peace of mind, by all means install one of the free apps from the market. AVG is ok, and uses little resources. Does it work? Who knows, never ran across a malware infected app yet.

Scare tactics to buy there antivirus software

Chris DiBona, open source program manager for Google, downplayed the report as a self-serving strategy by security companies to scare people into buying their products.

"No major cellphone has a 'virus' problem in the traditional sense that windows and some Mac machines have seen. There have been some little things, but they haven't gotten very far," DiBona wrote in a blog
Would you ever run your pc without an antivirus or antimalware? "i think not".
