Just started having the following issue today with my VZW HTC One M8 running Android 5.0.1.

No matter what I do, I cannot get this data limit exceeded notification to go away! I've looked all over for solutions but haven't found anything other than people with the same issue.

Some relevant notes:
  • I'm well within my plan's data limits.
  • I've messed with every possible setting in the "Data Usage" menu. I've checked/unchecked all options, adjusted the graph limits, etc. to no avail.
  • Long-pressing on the notification reveals Android System. Force-closing this process gets rid of the notification, but only temporarily. It always pops back up within a minute or two.
Some people have experienced the troublesome notification disappearing around the time their carrier's billing cycle reset, so maybe it's something wrong on Verizon's end..? I'm all out of ideas at this point.

If anyone could shed some light on the matter, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance
