Certain apps very slow on wifi

I've been noticing for a while now that certain apps are very slow on my home wifi. Android central, gmail, and Netflix. These apps work fine on data. And all other apps work fine. I can watch YouTube videos with no lag.

Anyone have any ideas?

And I did a speed test on my phone while on wifi. Download is 17mbps and upload of 3mbps

have you tried clearing the cache?

Mine works fine, but in fairness Verizon coverage is so weak (barely 2/5 bars of 3G) in my area I have the opposite problem. On AC I have to clean cache every so often.

No haven't tried that since it's not just one app. I'll try though

Ok tried and nothing changed. On data I can open ac and load this thread in 6 seconds. On wifi I sat there for 2 minutes and it won't load
