Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N8010) with Android 4.1.1 installed, and when I want to access my Samsung account or download an App. I keep getting an error message " The certification process must be completed before you can use your Samsung account." I don't understand what this means and I can find no reference to this in the user manual.
Also, I am unable to Sync any of my settings (Calendar, Contacts, Internet and S Note) I'm just being informed that "Sync is currently experiencing problems, It will be back shortly..." However after trying many times, the problem still persists.
I can access the Internet OK and send and receive email.

I would really appreciate help with these problems.

Thanks

I'm not sure how long you've been trying to access it but it seems like the store is currently down. Once it is back up and you register it, you should get an email with the email address you used to register. This is the certification process its referring to, it wants you to follow the link in the email they send you to verify/certify your account.

I get the same message under the same circumstance and it's about a month later.
So this probably has nothing to do with a "store", and is probably a message from Galaxy server.
Any further support would be greatly appreciated.
Greg

5/23/13 I was finally able to get this to work.
Go to Settings / Accounts / Samsung / Account Settings.
Click on Terms and conditions, and re-read the text, and select OK when done.
Then click on Privacy policy, re-read and OK.
Then I no longer got the error message.

I got the same problem. Checked my email many times, but have not received anything from Samsung after 2 days. I c an not download any apps because of the verification process. Please help! Millions thanks!

Just bought glaxy tab 2 had same problem as you " the certification process must be completed before you can use your Samsung account " and all I can press is "ok" how to fix this

1 you have to enter through settings

2 scroll down to accounts pick samsung account

3 click on the email address if its diffrent from the one you registered with remove account and put correct address

4 once done sync the email on all three (calender, contacts and internet) once sync's complete exit out

5 go to samsung apps click on the little face icon by the search and voilla certification process complete.

you can now download apps

I called T-Mobile they had no answer. I called Samsung they had no answer. While working with Samsung on the phone I found the answer which was to look for the Samsung account icon at the top of the phone in the notification area. Pull this down and note your personal information especially the birth date as mine had changed to today's date 6/11/2013 which was causing the phone to vomit. Put it any date it doesn't care at least 18 years or older. Presto, the issue is solved.

Bad programming on Samsung's part to populate the birthday field with the current date for the user and not inform the user via a better dialog box as to a) what the issue is and b) where the problem is. Things can always be better in this world.
