Change Battery strength icon on lock screen after last big update?

Is it me, or does every big Update screw up more than it "fixes"?
The Battery Strength icon on the lock screen was fine before the last update. Now it's difficult to read. I assume there is no way to change it? Tried, but nothing I found seemed to work.

The contrast isn't strong enough, and difficult to read the numbers in the middle. I never had trouble with the old icon.

With Material 3 those should be much better than before .

Of course it looks easier to read when blown up, but glancing at the phone, it can be more difficult than the old icon.
