Change Country Location in Google Play

I recently travelled overseas and my phone and tablet switched from the New Zealand Google Play store to the German Google Pay store. However now that I am back home, Google seems to think that I'm still in Germany and won't let me download New Zealand based apps as it is "not available in my location".

How do I get the Google Play Store to recognise that my phone and tablet are back in New Zealand?

Did you figure this out? This is driving me insane.

I moved from Germany to the UK.
* went to google wallet, deleted any German payment method registered there, cleared my address book and re-created a home address in the UK (to change home address in google wallet click the settings icon on the top right).
* went to google play, still German.
* cleared all my cookies and cache (on web). Still German (on my phone too)
* on my phone, with a UK IP adress, cleared the cache of google play and google play services, and uninstalled all updates, and restarted my phone. Then went to the play store (still german o_o) and bought a cheap game (labelled in Euros). I had to add a UK registered credit card with a UK address.
* Play store STILL GERMAN.

How on Earth do I change this? And why is Google making this impossible for us?

Hi there,

Just read on another forum that you actually need to purchase something in Google Play with a payment method from the country you would like to see as your default location.

Then reboot your phone and your Store should have changed back.

I changed credit card to new country, set to default and then could install app from play when accessed from PC using browser.

I tried everything you tried. Playstore still in German!

Similar problem here, except I'm living in Germany and can't read anything!
