I can't seem to find a way to do this on my S6. Had no problems with my S4 because I redirected to my external SD card.

I don't want the photos and videos on my new S6 stored in DCIM folder. I want photos in the "photos" folder and the videos in the "videos" folder.

And is there a way to automatically custom name them as they are taken (e.g. 001.jpg, 002.jpg) etc so I don't have to rename them with a post processing renaming tool?

Not unless you're using a 3rd party camera app that supports custom file directories and/or naming.

Most popular 3rd party cameras work just fine (Camera Zoom FX, Google Camera, VSCOCam, Camera 360...), but not sure if any of those can do what you want. I think I remember CameraZoom FX can at least let you set the file path, but not sure about naming conventions).
