On the app page that contains all of the apps, there are many pages that are not full because I deleted some of the apps. I like that the first page is the preloaded set of apps (t-mobile and google for instance) but I want to combine the apps so that the screens are full. I do not need them in alphabetical order and I do not want to change the first page (by the view by date). Is there a way to move some of the apps?

Depends on the launcher app you are using. On a Samsung, you can press the menu/more button an select 'edit' so you can drag apps around.

1st-Step: Open the screen to transfer the app. Tap to open the Apps drawer aka=Default apps located in HomeScreen lower
row-Last icon with tiny squares or cicles
2nd-Step: Tap the word -EDIT- The icons able to move get a circle
with red bar across - So tap the desired app to move and
drag it or force against the HomeScreen-edge: Later
get back to the AppsDrawer and Tap on -DONE-
Same way to transfer apps to other screens. If need
