change status bar, rooted NO roms

hi i want to be able to change the color of my status bar with out any roms. i tried a few applications and weren't pleased with them, such as super status bar (which wouldn't close right, you have to press home every time you want to close the status bar) and StatusBar+ - which i just did not like the over all feel of it. any help is appreciated

Yes extract the framework-res.apk from the /system/framework folder on the phone and google UOT Kitchen you will be able to change alot of stuff in the framework-res.apk like the battery icon colors, icons, status bar color, stuff like that to make it look the way you want to then upload the framework-res.apk to them they do all the changes and post it back in a link, then you just unzip the file you get back and push the framework-res.apk back into the /system/framework folder, reboot into recovery and do a Clear UserData and Cache and then you will have to resync the phone with google reinstall all your apps but you will have a nice new status bar
