After the upgrade I have noticed a change when it comes to answering calls. If I am on the home screen or the display is off I have the same ability to chose to ignore a call or send a text message declining the call as I did in Kit Kat. However with Lollipop, if I am in an application I only get a drop down notification to dismiss or answer a call. Is there anyway to back get the functionality to choose between dismiss or decline with text message while in an app?

Good question. I too thought about that. I have no idea but will try to figure something out this evening.

I figured it out. When someone calls and the popup displays the caller name or number, decline, and answer, simply touch the caller name or number and it'll bring up the usual options to decline, answer, or reply with a text message. Try it on the next call! Good luck!

Eureka!!! That did it. Still a bit of an annoyance. It adds an extra step to the process. However I guess this is one of those prices of material design and allowing you to see most of your app while the call comes in.
