Recently I damaged the rear housing on my HTC One M9, the damage to my knowledge was only external as all features of the phone still worked perfectly (including NFC). I ordered a replacement rear housing online from etradesupply. I am not sure if the replacement was genuine but I can say it was high quality and seemed legit.

I fitted the rear housing only touching the two screws at the top of the phone making sure I did not move and flex cables or antenna's.

For some reason the NFC has never worked since, I have tested on various different tags / payment readers and still no success.
I don't know if the material of the housing would have an impact or if somehow I have moved / damaged a connection to the NFC chip, not that I know where it is located!

Any ideas?

Thanks
Chris

The replacement part was not genuine. Spring for the real thing.
