Changing Album art on stock music player

Ok, so i'm using the stock music player for the captivate. for some reason after syncing with itunes, the album art shows up for the indiviual track, but not the album. so i downloaded the album art, created a folder called album art, and edited the playlist so that the correct album art was showing. the problem is that it doenst stick. when i close out the music player, or add more pics, all the playlist art is gone. any ideas?
