changing calendar view

I just bought this phone today and am new to android. Is there a way to see the calendar in agenda view as the widget, rather than the default view?

When you go into the calendar app, hit the menu button and you should see an option for agenda view.

Yes, you can use the calendar widget. It displays in calendar view.
