Hi everyone. New here. I just got my S9+ yesterday and I absolutely love it! But does anyone know how to change the colors of the LED notification light? On previous phones I've had there would be different colors for missed calls, emails, facebook, snapchat, texts, etc. Is there a way to set this up?

Thank you so much!

Other than 3rd party apps, is it possible do change the LED notification light in the upper left corner? We had this ability on the S7 but so far I haven't found it on the S9+

It seems that light color customization options has been greatly reduced since Oreo. Message+ used to let you choose and, last I checked, they removed that option with the Oreo upgrade.

It's in the hands of the app, not Oreo. It's one big thing I miss from my BlackBerry days. The OS handled the notifications settings, and all apps had the full array of options. Notifications on Android is an inconsistent mess by comparison.

The one thing that made me fall in love with Android was different notification icons, some apps have it most don't.

I guess with the cool edge lighting they didn't think we needed to control the LED dot in the upper left corner :)

Yes, technically in the hands of developers, but many have not updated their apps to allow LED customization in Oreo yet.
