Changing Look/Feel of Call App?

What are our options as far as changing the user interface for the default call app? For example, I'd rather have an 'answer' button than the slider. Can I set that up in the default app, and if not, is there another app that functions identically and can be used as a replacement for the default call/phone app?

The stock app doesn't give any custom options like that. But you could find a replacement dialer app in Google Play. Or you could root your device, install a custom ROM that accepts themes/mods and modify that to your liking, but that's probably a bit more advanced.

You can set it (it might also be the default) where the home button also can be used to answer calls.
