Notification Sounds

This happened to me with a previous phone change, but does anyone know of an easy way to address the loss of default notification sounds?

I added all of my apps, then used smart switch to move my stuff and settings from my S25U to S26U.

Now, just about all notification sounds are messed up. My special notification tone for my best friend is instead set up on a brand's junk texts. My email or messenger tones don't match what's normal for the applications, so just about everything my phone does is all the same sound.

Tedious method of reinstalling apps and changing every little thing again, or is there something more efficient to help this? Regretting not just doing my setup all manually, I prioritized speed.

Smart Switch is the culprit. No easy way other than uninstalling/re-installing the app. It's the only way to get the 'app notification' sounds back.
Thank you for confirming. What a trade off! It was fast, but yeah the sounds are all a mess. Bummer.

Custom ringtones and notifications sounds don't get restored but the file does you just have to set them up again.

hasn't been a problem for me, logging back into the app on new phone!!
Not the issue OP is having. When you use SmartSwitch to move/re-install apps (and this has happened for at least the past three generations), app-provided sounds are somehow lost/not enabled. For instance, if you prefer to use the Snapchat or Outlook or FB Messenger native notification sound, if you used SmartSwitch to move to the new phone, those notification sounds are no longer available for said apps. You have to re-install them manually to restore them (or forego using SmartSwitch and install directly from the Play Store the first time around).
