Hi All,

I have a friend who has an LG Optimus V and she lives in another state so I can't get my hands on the phone. I need to try and guide her to how she would change the settings on her Optimus V from mobile view to desktop view but I can't find anything on the web about this. I even looked through the user manual pdf file and nothing.

Can anyone tell me if this setting exists on the Optimus V?

Thanks very much.

If she's on stock Froyo, 2.2, idk if the browser has that, but check browser settings. It might be there, if not, I'd recommend a different browser such as One Browser, Opera, or UC Browser. Those are really good.

You could also guide her to rooting, and opening and using the MiRaGe rom.

Send her the following instructions for GB, but it should be about the same for Froyo too:

1) Open the default Android browser

2) Press [Menu] button, select <More>, scroll down, & select <Settings>

3) Scroll down, select <Select User Agent>, & select <Linux Desktop>

4) Press [Return] button twice to close browser.

Note: This procedure works for most websites but not all--some sites will still recognize that she's browsing from a mobile device and default to their mobile sites.
