ok i hope someone can help me with this, i made a manual change to the voice settings. i can't for the life of me remember what it was called and how to do it. for lack of a better term i'm going to call it a 'codec'.

apparently the droid uses 'codec 1234', but there is also an option to change to 'codec 1234 beta'. (i didn't notice any difference really) you had to enter a sequence on the dial pad (it was something along the lines of 'program') and then you could login in to a debugger program.

anyone else done this or heard of it?

##PROGRAM (then hit send)
"Enter SPC password" pops up ==> type "000000" then hit verify
Select "04 Vocode"
You probably selected EVRC-B ==> the factory default is EVRC.

that's it - thank you much!!

i followed the instructions from a different website, do you know the site?

the instructions are in the sticky here i think.

originally i think it was posted up in howardforums
