Cleaning up my Google Drive on Android, and from nowhere, about 16 shared .pdf brochure files from a Marketing Company, 2018 appeared. They appeared from nowhere with shared ownership attached to the files.

I had difficulty removing them. They kept coming back. I could open them and read the material, but I could not find them on the Pixel 7. How did this happen, and where are those files coming from?

After a few hours, changing the ownership, using Adobe to delete the shared folder, and multiple attempts to remove them, they appear to be gone.

It took multiple tries, many tries, to remove the files, delete them, and empty the trash.

How do files from 2018 get on my Google Drive? I could not find them on the Pixel 7 but could open them from Google drive.

I find Google Drive difficult to use and manage, full of surprises.

Google should fix this function. It is important.

Perhaps this post should be moved to Android 16.

Doing some investigation it appears I have an email from the Marketing Company on my old Blackberry with a Folder containing all those .pdf's.

So how did those files get onto Google Drive, and why did they just appear magically yesterday?

Since getting Pixel 7, those files have not ever display on Google Drive.

How did they all of a sudden come back?
