Bottom line for those lucky enough to have gotten this phone already that are also coming from the Thunderbolt......Is it worth the $600-$700 to buy off contract? Which will end up being a net expense of $200-300 after selling the Thunderbolt online.

Im willing to take the loss if that was the case, im using my fascinate now. my Bolt is sitting in the car waiting to go.

I just noticed something pretty cool with the Charge and spb shell. You can set the wallpapers separably between touchwiz and spb shell so you can have a live wallpaper on the lockscreen. Once you unlock you will see that it goes back to my space wallpaper as spb shell does not support live ones. I did not notice this on the Atrix or the Thunderbolt when I used spb shell on them. It might be a touchwiz thing or a bug with restoring spb shell with titanium from my Atrix.

Good point about freezing stuff for now since the full dev tools are not out there. I am just not familiar with messing around on a Samsung phone, HTC, Moto sure but not Samsung. My concern has been the issues with upgrades, Kies seems to be a problem for some and of course I need CWM and the image for restoration post ROM swaps.

Of course we need devs to build some better ROM's and Kernels.

GPS is not instant like my Atrix was but it does work. It usually locks on in about 30 seconds or less.

Verizon doesnt use Kies they do over the air. with the fascinate we can load up clockwork without even rooting, we can actually install clockwork then root in under 30 seconds

Thank you for that info. I guess I need to read up on the difference in Samsung's Android ways vs the others.

So where do we get our hands on the current factory ROM image if we need to restore/repair etc.?

One thing I like about sense is the automatic size rescaling of text in the browser when zooming so you can just read it in a column rather than side to side. Does the charge do this?
