Are the conversion things any good to use my old Samsung charger on the type c port on the z force?

You may want to post up what you mean by "conversion things".

I have some of these, which I suspect may be what you mean. They work fine. You don't get "turbo charging", but it'll charge at a pretty solid speed (IIRC, I was getting around 1400 according to Ampere with a QC3 charger, microUSB cable, and one of these converters.)

OK yeah there just short cables that let you use the micro USB charging cable to the type c phones. Looks like it's not that much more just to buy a new cable that plugs into the current charging block (the part that actually plugs into the wall or car)

Yeah, depending on your need just buying some Type A to Type C cables might be as good or better of a purchase. I have one of those little adapters that I carry with me in case I'm at someone else's house or something & need to use theirs. Of course if they only have a lightning (apple) cable, I'll be out of luck.

I assume any type c to micro USB connector will work even if it doesn't say it's for the Moto z? It says for the g5 Nexus 6p OnePlus 2

Well not necessarily.... Look at the 2 links I posted above. First one said 6p/5x. Didn't work at all.

Go with a trusted brand. Choetech, tech matte, Ackley, something like that.

Second link above works great. Read reviews no matter what you buy.

Yep I went with the same brand as the second link thanks :)
