Charging cable suggestions

I realize this is an old thread but I have a Samsung S3 and I just posted a similar thread asking for cable suggestions on XDA.

Ironically, I have an OEM LG sta-u34wvi and it is one of the only cables that consistently charge my phone. The charging port is pretty beat up as my phone is almost 2 years old.

The issue is that I need just a micro-usb cable and the above model # is only a wall charger and the cable does not separate.

So if anyone knows of a good cable that will will work as well as the charger above please suggest! Thanks.

Best thing to do would be to buy a brick charger that has the same (or larger) amperage as the stock charger. Then you can use any USB cable you want. That's what I did for my car charger. Its the same voltage as the charger that came with the phone, but its 2 amps (2000mA) and charges just as good as the stick charger using a cable that came with my Droid Razr. Biggest thing is the amperage needs to be the same or more. Voltage can around the same. Doesn't have to be exact, but the closer the better.
