I ordered a charging dock for the XL. Brand name is Encased. Available on Amazon. Although it says it is for the XL, I believe it will also work for the Pixel. The items that come with it are not really stated. I suspect that it is just the charging dock and the buyer has to supply his/her own cable and charger. I have a couple of extra Anker USB-C chargers with cables. I will post when I get it.

The charging dock should work fine with either phones. Is the output of the charging dock same as that of the standard charger..?

Just to be clear, I expect that the "charging dock" that I ordered is just a device to hold the owner supplied charger and USB-C cord

Update: Got the device. It has a supplied USB-C cord with a USB-C plug at one end encased in the device with a USB male at the other end. There is a little wheel that you turn that adjusts for the height of your device.( ie cover, case, etc). It moves the USB-C male plug up or down a little. It looks pretty good. The USB-C cord that comes with it looks slightly robust. I will plug the male USB plug into the Anker 18watt charger I have. I WILL keep an eye on the USB-C cord to make sure it doesn't pull a Samsung ( new verb) on me.

Further Update: I installed my Pixel. It fits very nicely onto the OEM USB-C Plug. I had to turn down the knurled knob a little. Fits perfectly. I plugged the USB end of the supplied cord into the charger I used for my HTC 10. So far, so good. Nice product.

Would be super neat if they could work out some sort of wireless charger or wireless charging station. Although, most of those now make you have to modify the battery somehow with a little adapter, so I don't know if I'd like that.

I know that you could get into some serious Legal Trouble and open up a can of worms but I really think that, being a former, angry Note 7 owner myself, your new verb, "Samsung", deserves Worldwide recognition as a VERB!!! I think if the Moderators had any Hootzpah (spelling?), they would even create a Poll for you!!! How about it Folks?

Thank you for your kind words. It kind of came to me in a flash.

Is the dock charger case friendly? Do you think it would work with a bulky Otterbox Defender on it? Thx!

Not sure. It did work fine with a Spigen clear case on it, but there is no provision for adding more that a little width. Sorry.

Does it rapid charge on the dock?

Description says "Case compatible design allows the connector to reach the phone through all slim profile cases"
