Charging issues with a new charger

Hello, I bought a new charger since my original one went missing in a trip. While using the new charger it seems to have take longer than how it would have been charged by the original one, would it affect the way my phone operates? Does it cause any damages to my phone? Is there a way i could possibly fix it? Or do I just let my phone to adapt the new charger? My phone is a Samsung note 3 and the charger i have bought seems to be a rip-off of the original one.

Welcome to Android Central. The replacement may not have as much output as the original. That will not damage your phone nor affect how it operates.
