Hey everyone just wanted to see if anyone else had ran into this problem. I am rooted with voodoo lag fix and ever since I try to charge it it gives me a pop up that says battery not connected.this only started since I rooted and its driving me nuts. Has anyone else ran into this or know a fix? I've tried a battery pull..master reset...flashing kernal again as well.

the only thing i've heard is to take the battery out for 10-15mins and then put it back.

Voodoo seems to interfere with battery/usb operations somehow. After a few days, I noticed that after pulling my USB cable, the USB notifier remained on. Then it would cycle on/off constantly. Nothing seemed to stop it, even a battery pull. The worst part is that I couldn't restart the phone without having a powered USB cable connected.

After that I decided to uninstall voodoo and something went wrong and it screwed the data partition. Well after a particularly long night in IRC(2:30am), I was assisted in getting back to stock. Loading back my apps and customizing everything took another couple of hours because my nandroid backup was causing lots of FC's.

So, while voodoo certainly did speed things up a little, I'm not sure if all those hours fixing my phone didn't hurt more.

Waiting for Froyo.

mine did the same thing, but only with dirks kernel the other kernels worked fine other than it doesnt like being over clocked. try flashing a different kernel

Well this started happening to me again and I'm stock. Well, I do have cwm loaded. Maybe this isn't software related but hardware? Could be we have a bad battery?

I'm stock Epic and getting the same "battery not connected" message intermittently when plugging in charger. Running BattStatt FWIW.

UPDATE: Last time I took the battery out I saw that the middle contact had a dark spot on it. I cleaned it with an eraser and haven't seen the "battery not connected" message since. Just a couple days, but keeping my fingers crossed.
