charging LED

Sometimes when I'm charging my note 9 there's no led but other times there is. Any ideas why this is happening?

Are you certain the device is charging? If it's connected but showing slow-charging or no charging indicator, it's not really doing so. Also, if there are notifications present, those take precedence in the LED status.

I did a soft reboot and it's okay now haha. That's still my main irritation with Android. Many small bugs lying around.

After I had the N9 a week and had it setup basically, wiped cache partition. After all the system security and app installs and updates, to me, wiping cache seems to help even with charging.

Generally I use Samsung wireless charging pad, flat, or another 2018 upright so I can see what's on it (nice for night clock).
Rarely use one of the fast charge via cable but when I've used it all morning, always on, great for quick charge.
