Charging options.?

I am about to fit the wireless S charger to my S5... The catalyst was trying to avoid wear on the tiny cover flap. My query is.... Once fitted with the wireless charger backcover, can I still use the standard cord for charging. Eg. Cord charge in the car. Pad charge in the house??
