Charging port help! Please help!

So here we go, my old charging port was broken, the pins inside were torn and worn out. I replaced it with a new one from ebay and followed along a video on YouTube. I did it word for word, action for action. Now when I plug my phone up to any charger it turns on for literally a second and then goes black. Nothing happens. I replaced the battery, nothing happened. Please help!
