The bottom line is, if you have the ESRP with sprint which you pay $8 a month for, any sprint repair center should fix/replace your phone for no charge. Anyone getting charged $35 doesn't have the ESRP (equipment service replacement plan). Any sprint store telling you to file an insurance claim and pay Asurion the $100 deductible is telling you wrong, or they don't want to do a phone replacement because they are are a 3rd party store and want to keep their replacement quota low. A loose usb port is a manufacturer defect, period. The only exception would be if you stuck a screwdriver in the port and/or did something to cause physical damage that was your fault. These scammy stores not doing their job and telling people to make insurance claims with asurion should be reported to the nearest district manager.
