Charging problem?

Used to plug s7 in charger and it'd beep straight away and charge but now about four or five seconds before it beeps and charges

Any idea only had it 5 months

Look in the ports for any dust or lint.

Can you try another official Samsung charger.

IS your device running hot and or sluggish/slow? If so your device is processing other stuff and when you plug it in the delay is the device trying to process that as well.

Strangely clearing the data cache sorted it

No idea why
