Whenever I plug in my phone the screen turns and stays on unless I press the fingerprint reader button. I can't seem to find a way to disable that. 3 times now I've grabbed my phone in the morning and realized the screen has been on all night.

You can check a setting on your phone that keeps the screen alive while connected to usb ..
Go to
Settings....
Applications ...
Development ...
On the Development Screen there is a setting for "Stay Awake" (Screen will never sleep while charging).
My Atrix had a checkmark there when I bought it - I cleared the checkmark and the screen now dims and sleeps when charging.
