Charm will get 2.2?

It's likely but I wouldn't expect it until spring 2011 at the least.

If you take a detail look, you'll find all MOTOBLUR-equipped phones are currently stuck with 2.1 (or worse, 1.6). Clearly Motorola hasn't had time to update MOTOBLUR to work with 2.2, yet.

DROID is bare Android. DROID X, DROID 2 have a stripped-down MOTOBLUR.

I do think the CHARM and some other MOTOBLUR phones will hit 2.2 in due course, but given Moto's track record, 2011 is the earliest I agree that.,

Well a little over a month later after my post, I'd have to say the Charm won't get it, seeing how Motorola treats Motoblur devices. I dumped my Charm as well as the Quench, the Quench isn't old at all and it's stuck on 1.5 and Motorola passed on it for the 2.1 update.

I no longer own any Motorola devices, and this is after 15+ years of owning several of them.

It would be great if it did. I love my Charm but seriously thinking about moving onto the vibrant.

MotoBlur on Froyo

The Motorola Defy is running Froyo (2.2) with MotoBlur, so hopefully this means that the Charm and other MotoBlur phones running 2.1 will be getting an update soon.
