Chase does not like Android

I love Chase, don't know why everyone hates on them. Best bank I have ever used, and it's just about everywhere. I have used Credit Unions and other banks and they all blew hard.

I use Wells Fargo after many years with BofA. I would love to see an app from Wells like the Chase one. I do have to add I love my Credit Union that carries my mortgage, but there are only two branches in my city so they are not that convenient for everyday banking IMO.

The only thing is that the Chase app has been on the iPhone for over a year now.

But have they had the check depositing function all that time? I think that's what most people want. I can already do everything else I need with them through text messaging.

I too bank with Chase and would like to see an app. Sucks the iphoney has had an app for over a year, and the new check depo app. That app looks so cool. I can't see it taking that much time or money to create an Android app.

hey guys i switch to chase due to Washington mutual lol...ever since they switch i haven't had any complain (also my coworkers love chase).
the i phone is nice but the whole android system has pick up momentum and i was expecting that by now chase would have move over.

i had a checking account and closed it. when i closed it, it had right around 100 and just a little change

i asked for cash.

they couldn't do it, because they don't keep change at this branch.

really?

I work for Chase, actually. The developers are working on being as Android capable as they are iPhone capable. They're certainly hiring a lot for it, anyway. LOL.

TD bank has an app. So does the USSA or whatever government bank.

USAA and it's not a government bank. But you do have to be military to join. it's an excellent app. The iPhone version is better at scanning checks than my Droid X for some reason but its; better than what most banks have. Bank of America's iPhone and Android app is a POS for example. They could part with some of that money they got from the taxpayers to put together something decent.

The chase app is one I used fairly often on my iphone. When i got the Palm Pre it was one of my missed apps, but i learned mobilebanking.chase.com works just as well. It is nicely formatted and looks like an app on the EVO. Just create a bookmark shortcut to youre home screen.

Didn't know about that. Thanks!

I've had Chase for years. Never a problem. Once someone got a hold of my information and charged up some stuff. Customer service was excellent and got me squared away. I've yet to find a reason to switch, but this isn't a "my bank is better than your bank" thread.

I'm not all that fired up about a "deposit a check with your phone" app, but I would like a native app for Android.

Chase DOES like Android

I contacted Chase yesterday and asked if they will have an Android app anytime soon. They said YES...it will be in the Market on November 14th, 2010.

I also asked if it will be full featured (i.e. the check deposit feature that iPhone'ers are bragging about.). Again, YES was the answer. There is a limitation to the amount on the check, however. $1,000's in deposits per day and $3,000 per week.

Maybe now with the SDK available, these type of really full featured apps will become more common place on our market!

Maybe with Chase getting it, BoA will step up and add the check-scan feature too.

Whenever they finally do it im going to go ahead and switch... been thinking about it for a while now.

Delayed until Nov. 26th

Just checked in with Chase to see why it wasn't in the Market on the 14th. Here's their response:

"Our systems have been updated to support the android app
on 11/14/2010. Google will be releasing the application on
the android market on November 26, 2010."
